Located in SE Calgary the lake community of Auburn Bay offers a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of city life. Phase 44 park found within in the community was completed in 2015 for Brookfield Residential, providing residents of the community a useful space to sit back and unwind.
Construction began in the spring of 2015 with the preparation of the barren clay field for all the hard surfaces required for the park. An extensive project management component was necessary during this portion of the project as four subcontractors were working in close vicinity to one another. During this phase of construction, rundlestone rock walls were also built to provide residents with ample seating as well as enhancing the natural aesthetics of the park. Once all of the hard surfaces had been completed, the park was finished with ornamental tree and shrub species, turf, and mulched beds to mirror the architectural controls for the whole community, providing color and substance to the area. Rounding out the construction of the park, benches as well as timber pole accents were added; providing residents with additional seating as well as preserving the lake theme found throughout Auburn Bay.
