Heartland Phase 1 – Medians and Boulevards

Located in Cochrane amongst sun splashed hillsides, mountain view horizons, and overlooking the Bow River the community of Heartland offers a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of city life. Completed in 2014 for Apex Limited Partnership, the Phase 1 medians and boulevards provide a warm welcome for the residents and visitors of the community.

Upon entering the community, individuals are greeted by four immense medians, an appealing traffic circle, and corresponding boulevards, all of which are meticulously maintained. The area is comprised of over 10,000 square meters of immaculately preserved turf. Expansive mulch and rock beds run the length of each of the medians and total over 1,500 and 1,100 square meters respectively. Finally, rounding out the Phase 1 medians and boulevards is an assortment of plant material, with over 850 trees and 1,500 shrubs and grasses. Extra attention must be exhibited during the spring months to ensure that salt damage from winter snow management operations is repaired expediently. Each of the aforementioned aspects are maintained on a weekly basis, ensuring an appealing welcoming for all those who visit Heartland.
